About Ann Rosebrooks

| Ann C. Rosebrooks received her bachelors
degree in fine arts from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1970. She
was the Artist in Residence at the Pulpit Rock Artists Community in
Woodstock, CT from 1972-75. In July, 2000 she became the Artist in
Residence at the Agung Rai Art Museum in Ubud on the island of Bali. Since 1970, Ann has exhibited her work in numerous juried and group shows throughout New England and New York. Her artwork (including commissioned work) is in many private collections. Ann's work was also included in a juried painting show that traveled the U.S. in 1998-99 with the National Association of Women Artists. In Sept.-Oct. of 2000 her work was shown as part of the "Visual Language of American Religion", Brauer Museum of Art, Valpariso, Indiana. Her most recent juried shows: "Re:Semblance", Arts Worcester Aurora Gallery, Worcester, MA in Oct.-Nov., 2002; "Summer Show", Artworks Gallery, Hartford, CT in July, 2002; "Connecticut Women Artists", John Slade Ely House, New Haven, CT in May, 2002; and the "59th Annual Connecticut Artists", Slater Museum, Norwich, CT in March-April, 2002. Ann's most recent group shows were, "In Cahoots", Worcester Polytech Institute Gordon Library, Worcester, MA in Feb., 2002 and at the Krauss Gallery Moses Brown School, Providence, RI in October, 2002.
