Working with the square is a way of imposing order on our inner world.
The square has been used by artists from various cultures.
The Egyptians used the square as the base for the Pyramids. Kazimir
Malevich, Sol Lewitt and Joseph Albers have all been fascinated with the
format of the square.
The square format can be rotated, the top may become the bottom or a side
may become the top.
